The MAD DIET
To me the MAD diet has become somewhat like the 2nd phase of the South Beach diet and also just a balance of healthy food that is required in our food guide pyramid. All my carbs that I am consuming during the day are good carbs. All the bread,rice, and pasta should be whole grains. I have eliminated all white processed foods from my diet. I do not eat white rice, white bread, or pasta. When I go out I prefer to eat whole wheat pasta if I feel like having it, however I do try to avoid pasta on my diet because it has too many carbs especially when you eat out because of the portion size. At home I can control it so sometimes I will eat the whole wheat pasta at home. I have included salad at dinner as well because it helps to fill you up so you do not over do it on the bread or rice.
I also have green tea twice a day as it boosts your metabolism and also helps with digestion.
